moving databases

I want to move a database from OCD on one PC to OCD on my laptop - db called 'library' and to put a more up-to-date version of a DB called 'boxsets'.Saved original db to file and copied it onto a stick, but it won't open as a new DB on laptop.It does not seem to have the correct suffix. Any help appreciated. I have this thing called Dropbox but have never used it. Might it be useful for this sort of copying?

OCD won't open the backup file. You need to use the "Restore From Backup" option from the Database menu.
