Needed: easier search

Pressing Ctrl-F --- can only find everything from a composer
Pressing Ctrl-Shf-F --- this screen I find too complicated

Can anyone hint me to easier searching?
Like: one press on Title, Performer, Artist?

I'm sorry, but I don't follow your complaint. Crtl-F will find a word in any field in any record. What are you trying to search for?

You can create your own search queries and place them on start page. They will work pretty much as you described:

1. Click Query -> Advanced Search, compose search query as if you are searching for any of the fields above (e.g. Performer), but instead of entering performer name, check "Prompt for value" option.

2. Save query by clicking save button on the right.

3. Now you should see your query available in Query menu and in start page. If you invoke the query, first thing it'll do is ask you for performer's name.

Thanks, will give Ctrl-F another try...I think I missed the ALL FIELDS option!
For me, it would be very handy if in Ctrl-Shf-F "Condition" would be "Contains" instead of "is - exactly".
Condition of Title Field seldom is, in my case.
Can I build this, somehow?

Generally, Orange is a very handy program; I believe that over the last few years I haven't used 50% of its potential!
