searching for "Bach" brings me all I need.
But how do I find Beethoven's violin sonatas?
Just typing in "Beethoven violin" does not work, nor does "Beethoven+violin".
I like to see every entry where somewhere in the details "Beethoven" and "violin" exist...
Anyone?

Use advanced search (Query > Advanced Search OR Ctrl+Shift+F). In your case:
Field: Composer
Condition: Contains
Value: type in composer name
Click Add to list
Field: [Any field]
Condition: contains
Value: type in violin
Leave the option as And
Click Add to list
Then Click Search
This will give you a list of the albums that have tracks that meet the condition.
If you want just the tracks themselves click the Tracks tab at the top before starting to fill in any values. If you want just Beethoven violin sonatas then add another search condition before clicking Search.
[Any field] is the first choice on the Field drop down.
Incidentally, Beethoven's violin sonatas were the subject of BBC 3's Building a Library two weeks ago. The Faust collection with Melnikov was favoured by the reviewers. They also liked the Mullova and Kurosaki albums though these are not (yet) complete collections.
