View Full Version : "orangecd.ini" causing mp3 playback problems

I loaded a usb flash drive with over 300 CD's worth of mp3 files I ripped from my CD collection. There are about 30 or so of the "albums" that will not play in my car, even though they play just fine on my computer. I discovered that the ones that will not play contain the hidden "orangecd.ini" file. I tried deleting that file from the album folder, but it did not make any difference. When I get to one of the affected folders and try to play it, the display shows "no music".

I am using OrangeCD version 6.4.1 build 14628 if that makes a difference. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Naturally, the albums that will not play are some of my favorites!

Hi rantam,

it's rather unlikely that the orangecd.ini has anything to do with this issue.

I'd recommend to check for special characters or (white-)spaces in filenames and foldernames, or for path and filename length, as well as the format of mp3 files.

Hope this helps.
