EDIT: I ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION
I will leave the question in case others need the answer.

I upgraded to the latest build 6.4.2 14920
I have re-installed the 2 crisp themes,and none of the themes, whether
it be the default, crisp or crisp_v6 allow me to change the default font size.
The fonts are extremely small, pixilated and the option is grayed out to change it. How can I fix this ? I do not have the exe file for the version 2 back from this one which worked properly. This happened to me once before on an upgrade and I can not remember if there was fix or not.

If you have the same problem as described above, the answer is simple and was right in front of me the whole time.
Go to VIEW / PREFERENCES / THEME /
on the THEME SCREEN scroll down to the left and look for STYLESHEET
use the drop down menu from stylesheet to choose your font style.
