Sort order in Export

I'd like to create a special printout (outside of OrangeCD) for all my records. The only export function which gives me all details (records + tracks) seems to be "Export to OrangeCD XML". That's fine. I would take my input from there. But how can I determine the order in which the records appear in the export? Do I have any choice?

Order of albums in XML export is undefined. You cannot change it, and you cannot rely on it to be the same every time.

Can you provide a little background on what are you trying to achieve? I wonder if there are alternative ways to export data that you can use for your goal.
