How Do I add my CD Number

I number my cd's starting with 1 and would like to add that number to the database so I can locate the CD without putting them all in alpha order how do I do that while scanning each CD to add them to my list?

The best field for this purpose is Reference #. It is located on Personal page of album properties. After you scanned a CD, you can close Scan CD-ROM dialog, right-click the new album, select Properties, switch to Personal page and enter the number into Ref.# field.

Or, you can configure OrangeCD to automatically number new entries, and add the albums by your numbers. To configure automatic numbering, see View > Preferences > Numbers and select "Numbers" from the Style drop-down.
