I wonder how I could locate MP3 files I scanned to the database. When I search for a particular track I'd like to know on what CD/DVD (cd label) this track is. Is there a way to do this?

the best way ive found for this is to set up a custom field for it with some kind of reference number in it...mine are:
mp3_cd_001
mp3_cd_002....
and
mp3_dvd_001
mp3_dvd_002
etc.
this is the label i give the disk, and i write it on the front of the disk
this way, if i search for stg, i can easily and quickly see where it is, and i can sort by this field to give all albums on disk x

Yep, this one came to my mind also, but it's not very comfortable, since you'll have to apply this info to the custom field after you scanned the CD. And, Orange already has the volume label before starting to scan...
Maybe it would be a good idea for a feature to add...

:) I have Posted many times on what I do.And like others have said, use the custom field.

Click on that Image. As you will see at the top of the Tree I have "CDR Location" in my Custom Field.Everytime I scan a CDR I put the # with that Album.
I just look for what Album I want and I know exactly where it is located.
603 CDRs with 5752 Albums on them. ;D
