FreeDB Web-based search is down !

As you can see at www.freedb.org the web-based search is down due to too may requests, it seems. :P

The problem is they say "it might be gone forever" :o

Question is, can anyone, Andrei, please tell me how to solve this problem, which other site to search should we use ???

How has everybody been solving this problem ???

FreeDb is back up again.

As far as I know, Andrei has been asked this question before and someone even proposed being able to query a local copy of FreeDb that would reside on your hard-drive. Don't know when any of this is planned for implementation.

Right now, FreeDb is the only service that Orange supports.

There Is An App O Freedb Website called Freedbconv which allows local query of the database

But I do not think that Orange can take advantage of the local access at this time. That would have to be done manually. In other words, you would have to manually query your local-copy of the FreeDb, then you would have to manually input the info into Orange.
