Edit database on backend?

Is there any way to access the database directly on the backend, such as with Access, SQL, or any other utility?

In the Templates and Themes forum | ASP or PHP topic (dated Sep 16th, 2004, 12:11am) you'll find this answer from Andrei to a similar question:

"OrangeCD does not have OLEDB driver, so you cannot connect to it that way. If you are looking for a common format to export to, there is a semi-public release of OrangeCD-to-XML export module. It will be included in the upcoming version, but I can provide you with download link if you are interested. "
