Hi:
When I'm at my desk, my laptop's cd tray is inaccessable so I want to use my external CD/DVD writer/player to play CDs. It's a Sony 510UL connected via firewire. Orange player recognizes CDs in the player and thinks it's playing them (the elapsed time advances), but there's no sound.
Some of the players on my computer can play CDs using this device, e.g., WinAmp, WMP, EAC, Feurio, & RealPlayer but others don't seem to be able to. I notice that under Feurio I need to set playing mode to 'Digital' rather than 'Analog'. Similarly for RealPlayer.
Is this a digital vs. analog playback issue? Is there a way to get Orange player to play digitally, and if so, how? If not, will this feature be added?
I'm running Win2000.
