Fat-finger errors

As I'm sure most keyboarders do, I occasionally mistype info going into the fields such as composer, lyricist, label, orchestra, etc.
Once it's entered I'm stuck with it in the dropdown list. I do, of course, re-key the correct info but I haven't found a way to delete the 'bad' data. Any suggestions?

The entry you want to get rid of will be deleted automatically if it is no longer selected on any record. For example, you want "XYZ" removed from the "composer" field. Find all instances where "XYZ" is selected in that field and replace it with a different entry. Once all instances of "XYZ" have been removed, it will no longer appear on the list.
