database size:: slow performance???

Hi

At what file size would the database show slow performance.

I have about 20,000-30,000 files to enter into the database.

Hi,

Try this:

- menu View - Preferences.
- switch to Imaging tab
- check "Store covers in external files..." option and enter "0" in the edit box next to it.
- uncheck "Store thumbnails in the database"
- press OK.
- on the prompt that says "Database must be compacted once...", press Yes.

That should help with database performance.
